Where do the prices come from?

From Octopus Energy’s public API. Prices include VAT and are for buying electricity (import) on Agile Octopus in the region you pick.

Can I use the prices in my own code?

Yes. The same prices are in Wattly’s free JSON API. For example, api/current.php?region=D gives the price now and the next few half-hours.
